Privacy Policy
This policy describes the current local-only version of Remo: Smart Reminder (记得：智能提醒), package com.kian.reminder. You do not need an account to use the app. Reminder creation and text parsing run on your device, without sending your text to an AI service or our servers.
1. Information processed on your device
The app processes reminder titles, dates and times, recurrence rules, notes, location text that you enter manually, sound and vibration preferences, and other settings. When you create a reminder from text, its source text may be saved with that reminder. Saved reminders, frequently used text and preferences are stored in the app's private storage. The location field is text only; the app does not request your device's location.
2. Clipboard and shared text
The app reads clipboard text when you explicitly use a paste action. It does not monitor the clipboard in the background. Text shared to Remo from another app is processed when you choose to share it. Remo does not automatically read notifications from other apps. Local parsing does not upload this text; please check the extracted dates and times before saving a reminder.
3. Permissions and reminder delivery
Notification permission is used to display reminders. Exact-alarm access schedules reminders at the selected time. Full-screen notification access supports lock-screen reminder behavior, subject to system restrictions and your settings. A foreground media-playback service plays an active reminder's sound until it finishes or you stop or snooze it. Wake locks, vibration and boot handling support reminder delivery. Battery and manufacturer settings are optional reliability settings. These capabilities are not used to collect data for advertising or profiling. You can manage permissions in system settings; disabling them may reduce reminder functionality.
4. Collection, sharing and third-party services
This app version does not transmit reminder content or imported text to developer-operated servers, and does not include advertising, analytics, remote crash-reporting or AI SDKs. We do not sell your data. Notifications and alarm scheduling are handled by Android on your device. Google Play and your device manufacturer may independently process information under their own policies; that is separate from Remo's local processing.
5. Storage, security and system backup
Data is stored in app-private storage protected by your device's operating system. Remo does not provide its own cloud synchronization. Depending on your Android version, device and system backup settings, the operating system may back up app data or transfer it to another device. Manage those backups through your device or backup provider. We cannot access or delete backups held by that provider. No storage method can guarantee absolute security.
6. Retention and deletion
Saved reminders remain on your device until you delete them or clear the app's data. You can delete individual reminders and remove saved frequently used text in the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes the app's local data; system backups, previously displayed notifications, screenshots and copies outside the app may remain under your control or the relevant provider's policy. There is no Remo account or developer-hosted reminder database to delete.
7. Support messages and policy changes
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include, through the email provider. We use it to answer support or privacy requests, not for advertising, and retain it only as needed to handle the request or meet legal obligations. Avoid sending sensitive reminder content or unnecessary personal information. Contact us to request deletion of support correspondence. If the app's data practices change, this policy will be updated with a new revision date.
